New Year's Honours

Alexandra Milne, staff commander for the FANY, has been awarded a MBE in the New Year's Honours List.

Alex has been instrumental in modernising the Corps, transforming it into a more efficient and professional organisation. As Operations Officer in 2017 she ran 5 high-profile operational deployments in quick succession: the Westminster and London Bridge terrorist attacks; the Manchester Arena incident; the Grenfell Tower fire, and the Corps’ support to the Army as part of emergency actions under Operation Temperer.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Corps’ busiest operation since the Second World War, Alex has run 5 major deployments simultaneously, organising the Corps’ support to the NHS Nightingale Hospital London; the North London and Westminster Coroners; the City of London Police and the National Emergencies Trust.

Congratulations Alex on your award.
