Exercise Snowfox 2020

The FANY kicked off 2020 by taking part in Exercise Snowfox XXV – the Annual Pan-Yeomanry Ski Championships held in Tignes, France. This year over 150 Reservists took part with five members of the FANY representing the Corps.

The aim of the Exercise is to provide instruction to all levels of abilities from complete beginners to extremely experienced skiers, helping build confidence, fitness and the ability to face challenging situations.

After four days of instruction, the week culminated in the two day championships, which involved both individual and team races down a challenging giant slalom course. The FANY performed exceptionally well with Skiing I/C 2LT Charley Ebbutt taking first place in the women’s race, and fellow FANY 2LT Izzy Darton coming second. Congratulations to all involved for their efforts and achievements.
