Application for Privileged Status of the City of London

The Corps is in the process of applying for Privileged Status, which is a ceremonial honour that is usually bestowed upon a unit with historic ties to the area as a token of appreciation for this long and dedicated service. Only 13 military units have been granted this honour to date.

A requirement of the Corps’ application for Privileged Status of the City of London is to “recruit in the City to the beat of a drum”. Therefore, members took to the Guildhall Yard on Wednesday 17 July handing out flyers whilst accompanied by a drummer from the Royal Yeomanry.

Members of the Corps are pictured here with the City Remembrancer, Paul Double.
