FANY support Gloucestershire & Racing Remembers

Members of the Corps provided support at the Gloucestershire & Racing Remembers event on Sunday 18 November marking the centenary of the Armistice. The event took place at Cheltenham Racecourse as a tribute to both horse and soldier, which was the final day of The November Meeting. The Centaur was turned into a field hospital with displays of medals, uniforms and equipment, with poems by local war poets being recited, war songs sung by local schools, and interviews conducted with local history authors.

An act of remembrance took place in the Parade Ring including a mounted party of the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars and contingent of Glosters dressed in WW1 uniform, followed by an aerial combat display.
