The Corps remembers long-serving member Laura Lean, who died earlier this year in September.
Laura was a member of the Corps for many years, and held several roles within the FANY including Training Officer and Communications Officer, and Parachuting Officer. Laura is remembered in The Daily Telegraph today (Tuesday 5 December 2023), which can be read in full here.
In July 2023 on her last public outing, she was awarded the Order of the League of Mercy in recognition of her outstanding leadership and commitment to the Corps. Laura remained a full serving member of the Corps and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
