46 members of the Corps are providing support in three mainline stations across London today (Thursday 2 November) to support London Poppy Day, which is organised by the Royal British Legion. This represents over a third of the active members of the Corps – 35% - and is a wonderful demonstration of the strength of support as we move into the period of Remembrance.
FANYs will be providing support alongside members of the Armed Forces and volunteers in London train and tube stations throughout the day, contributing to funds raised across the capital.
London Poppy Day is a collection day supported by members of the Armed Forces and a range of volunteers in aid of the Poppy Appeal for The Royal British Legion. The Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign held every year in November, during the period Remembrance.
