The FANY and Special Forces Club held a joint fundraising event on HMS Belfast on Thursday 31st May. FANY Commandant-in-Chief and SFC Patron HRH The Princess Royal kindly attended and met with recipients of the Victoria Cross and George Cross before a lively and successful charity raffle and auction were held to raise money for both organisations.
The evening provided a wonderful opportunity to bring the two like-minded associations together, as well as highlighting the dedication of our veterans who bravely fought for our country.
Thank you to all of those who attended and persuaded friends and family to buy tickets, those who helped source prizes, and those who placed bids on the auction lots. Preliminary estimates suggest that over £25,000 was raised from the evening, a fantastic achievement.
