The FANY (PRVC) has been most fortunate to receive a grant of £1000 from the Captain James Philippson Trust Fund. Captain Philippson (Jim), of 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, was the first soldier to be killed on deployment to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in June 2006.
His friends and family established the Trust Fund in his memory to provide support to causes, which Jim would want to help. 'What he would want' is one of the criteria by which causes are judged. As a Corps, we are indeed fortunate and honoured that the Trustees feel Jim would want to recognise us in this way.
