The Corps offers a wealth of new experiences and a huge amount of fun: weekly training nights (based in Westminster) cover skills in Major Incident Response, First Aid, Advanced Driving, Navigation, Radio Communications, Self Defence, Weapons Handling and much more.
All members hold at least a basic first aid qualification, which provides the basic skills for any First Aid scenario. Members of the Corps may develop this further with a range of courses, many of which meet company HSE policies.
FANY are trained in basic RT, net radio, Airwave, army watchkeeping and briefing skills. They can be called to assist in an Ops Room (Gold or Silver Command) during an emergency.
Opportunities are offered to gain confidence in handling a variety of weapons.
After training with a qualified Mountain Leader, there is plenty of opportunity for practical experience.
Annual camp,ceremonial occasions, equestrian events, Using your language skills,parachuting, self defence, special interest lectures, survival training and mess social events.
The latest recruits course started in October 08. The next is planned for September 09. An interim course may be considered if sufficient applications are received meantime.

Former members can rejoin the Corps as a Country Member at any time, on payment of an annual subscription of £20.00. For this you will receive two copies of the Corps Gazette each year, as well as an invitation to the Corps Reunion.
